Can I just pause and reflect on the inordinate amount of joy I have discovered in the last five minutes I’ve spent surfing the Duran Duran fan site as their newest member??? Can I just say that the $35 is cost me is nothing compared to the flashbacks I’m having to back in the day where I was totally their biggest fan…?
Can I also just say that I am not at all ashamed that I will be going to see them when the come back around the Bay Area? Hey! if I was willing to leave my four-month-old first born at home with a sitter so I could rock out to them and the Cranberries in 1993… I’m SO going to haul my fat ass to wherever they play now…
Finally, can I also just say that I finally caught the hour long live concert slash coke dream feature they played a few times on VH1 and the part where Simon picked up his guitar to sing Save a Prayer... yes, a tear was shed at Casa Duarte while Richard laughed softly under his breath.
The day I realised I wasn't actually going to be Simon Le Bons wife, living my life as a pop princess, was a VERY sad day indeed. Teenage kicks are hard to beat!

I caught the VH1 thing and I couldn't stop watching. I always thought they were cool but they never topped any of my lists, until now that is. They are FANTASTIC live! Like, unbelievably. Great vocals, great everything. I was very impressed.
I'm a Cranberries dork! I saw them in '95 and again in '02. If I was there I'd invite myself to go with you when Duran Duran comes around again.
Love!!!
